Roger Hastings quote best defines the experience of psychotherapy that I offer and seek, coming out of isolation to be supported by non-judgemental person. So I am glad you found your way here and hope I can offer you helpful information. I am a practicing psychotherapist in Santa Monica, CA in Los Angeles County. I see adults in individual, couples and group psychotherapy. I have received my Marriage & Family Therapist license over 25 years ago and have been working in the mental health and addiction recovery field for almost 30 years.

In my years of experience and training I have had wonderful opportunities to work in different kinds of treatment programs and settings; community mental health centers, in-patient and out-patient psychiatric hospitals, drug and alcohol treatment programs, sexual addiction outpatient program, eating disorder programs and had the amazing experience of working in the John Bradshaw Treatment program here in Los Angeles, California.

I love old movies and one of my favorites is the 1942, "Now Voyager" with Bette Davis, Claude Rains & Paul Henried. Claude Rains plays the psychiatrist, Dr. Jaquith and Bette Davis as Charlotte Vale a woman struggling under a domineering mother and on the verge of a breakdown. Dr. Jaquith explains how people sometimes come to a fork in the road and don't know which way to go and he offers a signpost to help them find their direction. Of course Charlotte Vale is able to go to this beautiful countryside where she gets therapy, plays tennis and takes long walks and is able to focus on herself. I can't offer the beautiful countryside but I can offer you the opportunity to find your inner strength, beauty and vitality.

What I love so much about working as a therapist is not only helping others find their signpost but as a therapist I am constantly growing and learning from the relationship of therapist and client. I believe learning is an important factor in feeling vital and alive.
